F2 Fun & Fitness, a master franchisee of US-based Gold’s Gym, plans to open 100 fitness centres in India by September next year, as it embarks on an expansion drive.
The company, which has the license for Gold’s Gym in eight countries including Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Sri Lanka, is also planning to expand operations in these territories.
“We are planning to open 100 gymnasiums in India by September 2012. Of these 100, nearly 25 would be company owned while the rest would be through sub-franchisees,” F2 Fun & Fitness India Chief Operating Officer Istayak Ansari said.
