A Salter Point animal lover has won a major WA award for excellence for her successful dog-washing franchise.
After almost four years in the business, Fi Edis won the prestigious title of WA Franchisee of the Year for a business of fewer than two staff, presented at an awards evening at the Esplanade Hotel Fremantle.
Organised by the Franchise Council of Australia, the annual Excellence in Franchising Awards recognise excellence in the franchising sector and provide a platform for winning business owners to showcase their companies nationally.
Mrs Edis took on the City Farmers Dogwash franchise in 2007 as a sole trader and has built a strong client base of about 270 dog owners, with more than 300 dogs, whom she now calls friends.
