Peterborough-based franchise plumbing and drain repair company Drain Doctor is encouraging its franchisees to find novel ways to expand and grow their businesses.
One way in which existing franchise owners have sought to expand is by joining forces to buy vacant franchise areas that neighbour their own.
A prime example of how this has been achieved successfully is in the North West of the country. However, the same principle can easily apply elsewhere in the country where the right conditions prevail.
Kevin Preston, one of the longest serving franchisees in the Drain Doctor network, and Nick and Lisa Birtles recently joined forces to purchase vacant franchise areas adjoining their own. Kevin has run the Preston franchise since 1994 and more recently took on the Blackburn franchise. Nick and Lisa run the Lancaster and Cumbria franchise businesses.
