Indonesian Market Ideal For Local Franchises

The encouraging success of local franchises in Indonesia has encouraged the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Ministry to bring more of them to expand their market reach in the country this year.

Ministry deputy secretary-general for domestic trade Datuk Daud Tahir said it was encouraged by the success of franchises in the Indonesian capital after various expos and international events earlier this year.

“In Indonesia, 17 Malaysian franchises have exported their brands to 34 outlets. A few more franchisee outlets are expected to open in Jakarta in the later part of the year,” he said in his speech before closing the Franchise International Malaysia conference here yesterday.
