Local Franchisee Company Sposoring Indy Car Race In Baltimore Grand Prix

ABC2 News:

Labor Day Weekend is fast approaching and for Baltimore that means the first ever Baltimore Grand Prix.

And while anticipation is certainly already high, one local franchisee company is also gearing up for the race. That’s because they are making a big spash with a driver who is already a house-hold name in Indy Car.

The driver, Mike Conway, races for Andretti Autosport, and won the famed Long Beach, CA race earlier this year. Conway is also the driver best known for being in the car that flipped over in the last lap of the Indianpolis 500 race last year.

Today in Owings Mills, Conway was on hand in front of the Buffalo Wild Wings as his car for the Baltimore Grand Prix was unveiled. On it was a paint scheme showing off BBW as the sponsor.

The Baltimore are BBW franchises are owned by a local group, giving the inaugural Baltimore Grand Prix a bit of a local feel.
