Juice It Up, the Irvine-based franchised smoothie and juice bar chain that closed nearly half of its California outlets in the recession, is making a comeback locally and statewide.
The chain, which has five outlets in the Sacramento area, plans to open a new one at 25035 Blue Ravine Road in Folsom next month.
Company officials said they hope to open three to five additional franchised juice bars throughout the area over the next couple of years, part of a statewide expansion plan.
Most Juice It Up sites are in California; a handful are in Arizona, Texas and New York.
