Firehouse Subs Owner Gives Croft Fire Department Crews Lifesaving Aids

Spartanburg Herald Journal:

Charity is a no-brainer for Omar Ghorbani.

The local franchisee for Firehouse Subs spends most of his time contemplating ways to give back to the community.

On Thursday, Ghorbani furthered his philanthropic reach by donating more than $8,000 worth of lifesaving equipment to the Croft Fire Department.

“(Giving) is a calling,” Ghorbani said. “To be in a position where we can give back to the community is a blessing. We take it very personally. It’s a way for us to say thank you in a small way to our first responders, and the men and women fighting to keep us safe both here and abroad.”
