This is the program’s first rock school in Music City and husband-and-wife/owners Kelly and Angie McCreight are excited to bring local music students the opportunity to experience all the wonderful programs and unique opportunities that the School of Rock offers.
Their son’s strong interest in learning to play guitar and perform, paired with the unusual scarcity of music schools with performance opportunities in the famed music town, fueled their motivation to open a new location.
“Music instructors in the Nashville area are plentiful, whether they are providing private instruction or working in a school setting. School of Rock is a totally different concept, as it offers the students the chance to play at live venues on a regular basis,” explains Angie McCreight, co-owner / general manager, School of Rock Franklin. “We have had the opportunity to speak with many parents who are looking for a longer-term solution to further develop their child’s talents. The School of Rock is a concept that Middle Tennessee currently does not have. This will be the solution for so many parents and students.
