A pest controller based in the Capital has scooped a national award.
Ian Cain, of NBC Bird and Pest Control, has been crowned Scotland’s BFA/HSBC Franchisee of the Year for 2011, as well as securing the bronze prize for the whole of the UK.
His company, which employs 11 members of staff as well as 30 birds, was among 14 businesses that made it to the final.
He has performed high-profile urban bird control projects for BP, Exxon, Shell and the Scottish Parliament, along with environmental research work with Scottish Natural Heritage.
