Drawing on more than 22 years of owning franchises in the restaurant industry, including his current role as an operating manager and partner in the Chili’s Saskatchewan franchise, Rathwell is now taking on the role of franchisor with his Regina-based restaurant – Rock Creek Tap and Grill.
“It was never our intention to grow this into a franchise… it was always our intention to grow the brand from within,” said Rathwell, a managing partner and president of Rock Creek Franchising Inc.
Rathwell said as he and his partners adapted to the concept of the restaurant and custom fit some of the standard practices that occur in the industry, expansion became feasible. Read on…
