Make-your-own-bear franchise Stufflers is celebrating the opening of its lastest home-based franchise owned and operated in Sydney’s Campbelltown by two friends, Karen Kent and Sue Drieman.
The concept is based upon the successful American Build-a-Bear model where children get to construct a customised soft toy, add an optional sound chip, choose an outfit and take home the bear’s birth certificate. Stufflers is the first franchise chain in the world to take this experience to a birthday party at home using its exclusive mobile stuffing machine.
The brand was officially launched in Australia in July 2010 after two years of extensive development by John Newton, founder of bouncy castle franchise Jumping J-Jays.
