Hitting newsstands December 20th, Entrepreneur magazine‘s 33rd annual Franchise 500® showcases this year’s most successful players in the franchising world. Maintaining its number one ranking for the second consecutive year is Hampton Hotels, followed by Subway, 7-Eleven, Servpro and Days Inn, respectively.
Names dominating the list are serving up quick, affordable and simultaneously high-quality products and services in response to changing consumer demands. Overall, quick-service restaurants, personal care and retail franchise businesses are going strong—and even trending up.
“Value-oriented businesses tapping into the consumer mindset took the lead last year and are continuing to set the pace,” says Amy Cosper, VP and editor in chief of Entrepreneur. “That said, new concepts are hot on their heels with innovative ideas in popular industries. In either case, there’s good news all around in that we’re seeing growth in unit numbers overall, which means more jobs and positive markers for our economy.”
