Frozen yogurt plus savvy franchising has been Sweet CeCe’s recipe for business success.
Since starting with a single store in Belle Meade in mid-2009, the Franklin-based company now has more than 40 franchised locations in 10 U.S. states and two Middle Eastern countries: Kuwait and the United Arab Emirates.
The rapid growth was never envisioned by owners Brian and CeCe Moore, California transplants who figured they’d run a “small little mom-and-pop store†after moving to Franklin. Their vision — a shop where customers can choose from hundreds of possible combinations of yogurt flavors and toppings — quickly mushroomed into a fast-growing franchise, with franchisees willing to pay $37,000 and a monthly 6 percent royalty fee for the right to open their own locations.
