Sale Of Pizza Hut Franchisee Is Completed

Bizjournals.com:

The nation’s largest U.S. Pizza Hut franchisee, NPC International Inc., has completed its sale to a private equity firm, according to a news release.

A company formed by Connecticut-based Olympus Partners bought NPC, of Overland Park, Kan., for an undisclosed price.

At the end of September, NPC, which was founded in 1962, operated 1,153 Pizza Hut units in 28 states — about 19 percent of all U.S. Pizza Hut operations.

NPC had sales of $237.8 million and net income of nearly $3.5 million for the quarter that ended Sept. 27.
