Strange Burgers Invade The Fast Food Universe

AllBusiness (blog):

It’s wacky burger week in the world of fast-food franchising. We recently told you about the $16 foie gras and truffle burger being sold by Wendy’s in Japan. Now comes word that a Belgian chain called Quick has launched a line of Star Wars-inspired burgers to promote the upcoming “Phantom Menace 3D” premiere.

The burger that’s generating the most buzz is the “Dark Vad0or” – even though it totally messed up the spelling of “Vader”. This burger, which includes two beef patties with cheese, lettuce and tomato, features a bun that appears to have been toasted black. In fact, it’s merely been dyed.

No word on how the burger is cooked, though Star Wars purists will undoubtedly want theirs burned to a crisp.

So how are people reacting to the new burger? Read on.
