Dunkin’ Donuts plans to have at least 20 stores in central Iowa, after signing a second franchise agreement for the area.
The franchisees are sister and brother and Des Moines natives Lori Kelderman High, now of Madison, N.J., and Jeff Kelderman, of Sacramento, Calif. Kelderman said he will move to Des Moines to oversee the business. High will remain in New Jersey.
They plan to develop at least eight locations. Their territory includes Des Moines from the east side of the Des Moines River to Grinnell and north to Ankeny and Ames. The first location is expected to open in 2013.
