Three Questions: Scott Gillman, Franchise Magnate

Scott Gillman is the man behind the meals served at popular eateries throughout the state.

Gillman and his brother started Mascott Corporation in 1989. Today, they are headquartered in a building they own on Ramsey Avenue in Hillside. The company owns Markers Restaurant, one Seattle’s Best Coffee café, three Cinnabon Bakeries and seven Smashburgers. The company is looking to add five more Smashburgers www.smashburger.com/ by the end of this year, and they hope to have 30 by the end of 2015. They also plan to renovate and expand units in all of their other brands as well.
