Double-Shot Espresso For Coffee Shop Group

Australia’s largest coffee shop chain, The Coffee Club Group, aims to open a new store every fortnight for the next five years after growing by 18.5 per cent last year.

The business, half-owned by Bangkok-based fast-food and hotel operator Minor International, hopes to reach 500 stores by 2020 as it expands further into countries including China, Egypt and Thailand.

Annual turnover from more than 280 stores was $344 million last year, but franchising group chairman and co-founder Emmanuel Drivas jokingly wishes he could turn back the clock 25 years, to that first store in Brisbane. Read more.
