It is hard to dispute the old saying that knowledge is power. In the business world, knowledge can mean the difference between success and something less desirable. In today’s rapidly changing world, it can be difficult to keep pace with rapidly expanding knowledge, especially for those whose time is consumed with the day-to-day operations of running their business.
The Greater Plant City Chamber of Commerce has developed the Lunch & Learn Program, in conjunction with Hillsborough Community College (HCC), to “offer seminars to business people to help improve their skills and knowledge,” says chamber president Marion Smith.
The Lunch & Learn seminars take place at the Plant City campus of HCC, and feature knowledgeable speakers on a variety of relevant business topics including product or service marketing, accounting and legal matters. By scheduling seminars from noon to 1:30 p.m. and charging only the cost of lunch (as little as $8), the chamber and HCC have made the program both affordable and convenient for attendees. Read more.
