As a second-generation hair replacement expert, Linda Alfieri likes to keep her clients low profile. Discretion is second nature, whether her customers have hair loss from chemo, alopecia, lupus or they’re thinning from their own DNA.
Growing up in her father Charles Alfieri’s Manhattan business for 40 some years and in Florida for 17 years herself, Alfieri would rather pose with wigs. No client-models for this business executive, who’s sensitive to the people who patronize her full-service Linda Alfieri Salon at 127 E. Palmetto Park Road, just east of Federal Highway. “That’s the reason we have private rooms,” she said.
Alfieri has reached out to oncologists, therapists and hospitals to let them know insurance covers wigs and other hair replacement methods. “Every medical carrier covers medical hair loss, and she can add a hair loss replacement room and train a stylist,” said Kim Morgan, who handles Alfieri’s marketing and public relations.
