Subway Restaurants recently opened its first outlet in Romania under a franchise agreement with franchisee Cristian Stefanescu, and has plans to open an additional 40-plus in the country throughout the next four years.
According to the Romania-Insider, the newest Subway outlet is located in Victoriei Square in downtown Bucharest. Two more are planned by the end of this year, including at Iulius Mall in Cluj – Napoca and the Palas shopping center in Iasi.
Subway has 36,000 restaurants in 98 countries. Regionally, the company operates units in Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Slovakia and Croatia.
