A Jacksonville, Fla., chain of franchised insurance stores announced plans Monday to open 72 locations in Tennessee, including 26 in Memphis.
Brightway Insurance, which registered to do business in Tennessee in January, has about 100 stores in Florida, Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina and is opening stores in Texas. It is targeting 11 other states for expansion as well.
CEO David Miller said Brightway differentiates itself from other insurance sellers by offering products such as auto, home and life insurance from multiple brands at stores and through its website.
Centralized support functions enable store operators to keep office overhead low and focus on sales, he said. More.
