I’m speaking in general to protect distributors but have you ever noticed some MLM companies are very whiny?
If a distributor gets in the limelight, the company – under the guise of protecting its business – tries to kill the story.
I understand in the instance of making false medical claims and other illegal actions.
I’m referring to favorable publicity.
I consider this behavior corporate narcicism… begruding anyone but themselves a moment of fame.
Like most sick behaviors, it rarely improves with time.
That means that if you’re working for a company like this and the pathology starts at the top… your chances of making it big are conditioned on how well you suck up to the management… and their sense that you’re still useful to them.
Once they run the calculation “what have they done for me lately?� and it comes back “not much� … you’re out the door.
This usually happens when you’re just about able to kick back and relax.
Then that huge bonus check you’ve earned would buy the owner(s) a new toy.
Suddenly some obscure contract language is invoked and unless you kowtow and take a cut, you’re out.
Either way you lose when corporate narcicism runs amok.
