BeautiControl Helping Women’s Charities

Christine Roberts of Gulfport, who is an independent director for BeautiControl Inc., presented checks to four nonprofit groups from the company’s Women Helping Others Foundation.

The money comes from a portion of profits from product sales and from contributions by the company’s independent consultants.

A donation of $15,000 was given to the Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse to stock its Kara’s Closet, which provides clothing, toiletries, baby items, children’s clothing, shoes and books to help women escape from domestic violence situations.

The Hancock County Food Pantry received $20,000 to to help restore its operation to a point in which it can again provide for families in need.

The Harrison County Emergency Children’s Shelter received $1,600 to help provide food, clothing and medical care for the children.

Another $15,000 was donated about seven months ago to Hancock County’s Hope Haven, which is a refuge for abused and neglected children.

The WHO Foundation is set up to help children and families in the areas served by BeautiControl, which is an international manufacturer and party plan sales company with more than 50 representatives in the coastal area.
