Shaklee’s Cleaner and Greener Products

When Patricia Calebrese’s son was 4 years old, his doctor advised her to limit her son’s exposure to chemicals and air pollutants.

Her son, the Stormville resident said, had been diagnosed with asthma, which certain pollutants could irritate.

“I did a lot of research and realized that household cleaners, and even things like laundry detergent and shampoos, had toxic chemicals in them that could be triggering his asthma,” she said.

Calebrese then switched from conventional cleaning products to nontoxic ones made by Shaklee, and his asthma cleared up. That was 15 years ago.

So pleased has Calebrese been with the performance of the environmentally friendly products that two years ago she became an independent dealer for Shaklee, calling her company Better Quality Life. Calebrese also became certified as an indoor air quality/mold inspector through the Healthy Building Institute of America.
