Noah’s Ark: Tupperware Party For The Kids

MPNnow.com:

Like Tupperware or Pampered Chef, Noah’s Ark Animal Workshop agents like Krissie DiMeno hit the road to bring parties to customers’ homes — but this one is for the kids.

It is a takeoff on the concept popularized by the Build-A-Bear stores and make-your-own pottery studios: Make a craft project the focus of a birthday party. The Noah’s Ark twist is to do it all at home.

“Parents don’t have to worry about bringing kids to the mall and trying to do cake and ice cream there,” said DiMeno, 31. “There’s less temptation,” she added when she brings just the pre-selected animals rather than all that’s available.

There are many stuffable animals to choose from, different sounds they can be equipped with and plenty of outfits to select.

Animals range in price from $10 to $18. DiMeno makes up games children can do with the animals, for example, wishing upon the star that adorns one model of stuffed bear.

“Even nursing homes love it,” said DiMeno. “It’s something from childhood. It’s memories. It’s fun.”
