The Star:
Keeble Hawson has been appointed legal adviser to a project which aims to encourage more people to set up franchise-based businesses in the Sheffield area.
The law firm, which is affiliated to the British Franchising Association, has been awarded a two-year contract for city development company Creative Sheffield‘s Franchising Development Project.
At present Sheffield-based franchisees generate annual revenue of £124m, employing 3,500 full and part-time staff.
However, research undertaken by Creative Sheffield has indicated there are many more opportunities for new franchisees to come into the marketplace across a wide range of sectors.
Keeble Hawson will support the start-up of an estimated 32 new or resale franchised businesses.
