Hai-O Enterprise Bhd’s multi-level marketing (MLM) division is planning to open another five to eight new stockists in FY09 in Peninsular Malaysia, especially in the southern and East Coast parts of the country, said its managing director Tan Kai Hee (pic).
The division, which has 43 outlets including 30 stockists and 13 branches, is also aiming to launch new skincare series products in FY09 to complement its existing flagship “Beauty†products, which would provide additional opportunities for distributors to market a wider range of the products.
The plan to introduce new products at the MLM and retail divisions, recruit more stockists and carry out more sales campaigns was part of the company’s strategy to remain competitive amid a slowing world economy and waning consumer purchasing power, he said.
“And with the acquisition of Bata’s 28 acres of land in Jalan Kapar, Klang, this will open up new possibilities for our future business expansion,†Tan said in the company’s latest annual report.
