Hilton In Pact With JMD To Set Up Doubletree Brand Of Hotels

Hilton Hotels Corporation today said it has entered into an agreement with real estate player JMD to set up the first Doubletree brand of hotel in the country.

“With more than 200 hotels in some of the most desired business and leisure destinations worldwide, our entire brand team looks forward to expanding our brand to India,” Doubletree Hotels Senior Vice President (Brand Management) Dave Horton said.

Doubletree is a brand of hotels being run by the Hilton group. The first hotel will come up in Gurgoan.

The proposed 182-room, new-build Doubletree is scheduled to open in 2010. It will include over 860 sqm of meeting space including a ballroom and a business centre, fitness centre, a spa and swimming pool.

The company is also eyeing business from tourists making a stop over in Delhi for destinations like Agra, Jaipur, Udaipur and other cities of Rajasthan.
