Rent-to-own dealers from Arizona, Nevada and Utah voted to form the Southwest Rental Dealers Association (SWRDA) at a meeting in Las Vegas today. The group will focus on legislative issues affecting the industry on the state and federal level.
Ernie Lewallen, president of The Rental Industry Buying Group (TRIB) and Las Vegas Rent-N-Roll franchisee, was elected president of the association. Mark McDougal, Discover Rental Purchase will serve as Vice President. Secretary Treasurer will be Christopher Hale of Utah based EZ II Rent to Own.
Maintaining active participation is always a challenge for state associations. This is especially true for western states that have far fewer independent rental dealers than Midwestern and Eastern regions.
Lewallen stressed the importance of an active state association and the value of combining states into regional groups. More.
