When you send email, do you use boring subject lines?

The success or failure of your email marketing campaign can often be determined by two little words – subject line. Most of the time, people decide to open or trash the email solely based on what the subject line says or how long it is. Rather then putting something such as “place your order here” as the subject, try using an attention-getter, something that captivates your audience and entices them to actually open your email and read on. Use phrases like “limited time offer”, “big sale ends Saturday” and “discounts up to 70 percent”. You may also want to try using name recognition in the subject, this creates a personal message for the reader.
