Nama Sushi Bar is under new ownership and could have its first franchisee later this year.
Nama LLC acquired both Nama locations and Eos Catering. The plan is to grow the concept to a regional and national brand, said Chief Manager Gale Huneycutt.
“They were the first to recognize the overwhelming demand for a sushi menu. They did a phenomenal job of executing the concept,” Huneycutt said.
Gregg White, who founded Nama more than four years ago, is stepping aside to pursue a “green” business but will remain part of the restaurant’s management team as a consultant.
“It is a sad, but extremely exciting time in my life. I look forward to many new adventures as I undertake some new projects focusing primarily on ‘green’ initiatives,” White said.
Huneycutt said patrons can expect the same quality of food and cutomer service that made Nama so successful.
