Coast Builder’s Licence Suspended

Sunshine Coast Daily:

The Building Services Authority www.bsa.qld.gov.au/ yesterday suspended the licence of David Reid Homes – Sunshine Coast Southern.

BSA general manager Ian Jennings said the action was taken to protect sub contractors, suppliers and consumers.
Mr Jennings said DRH Sunshine Coast Southern director Stephen Booth informed the BSA yesterday the company had not yet been placed into liquidation.

That contradicted a letter Mr Booth recently sent to his creditors, in which he said the luxury home builder was placed into liquidation last Thursday.

Mr Jennings said a BSA investigation confirmed the company had not yet been placed under external administration.

He said the BSA had also spoken with Roy Baker, representing the David Reid Homes Queensland franchisor, over whether the franchisor would ensure existing contracts were completed.
