Herbalife Ltd., a nutritional and weight-loss supplements maker, said Monday that it named Lawrence Higby to its board of directors to fill an open spot.
Higby is the vice chairman of Apria Healthcare Group Inc. and also serves as an adviser to the company.
He is also a board member for eHealth, the Automobile Club of Southern California, the Orange County Performing Arts Center and the South Coast Repertory Center.
In December, Herbalife said it would cut 6 percent of its total work force and restructure its business to help cope with the economic downturn.
