Mommy-Owned Businesses Band Together

Highlands Ranch:

A unique group has banded together to support and assist each other. Mommy Meeting is an organization that allows mom-owned businesses to benefit from networking meetings, workshops, retreats and other gatherings such as the Momporium Event scheduled for Saturday, March 28 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Aspen Grove Shopping Center.

Originally, Mommy Meeting was formed to reach out to a community that was not being served in the traditional networking venues. Moms try to balance it all – kids, careers, social events, PTA, etc. They need a networking venue where they can share what they know and do with others in a meaningful way – not just passing business cards and making one minute introductions.

What further makes Mommy Meeting unique is moms are encouraged to bring their children to the networking functions. Roxanne Weaver, Founder of Mommy Meeting notes, “There is not a venue out there right now that supports moms with and without a business the way Mommy Meeting does. Not only do we balance our monthly educational topics between parenting and business, we also showcase our moms each month and provide a ‘child-friendly’, supervised event that they don’t have to feel guilty about attending. Why not provide a venue where you can have the best and brightest CEO’s of the home come together!
