Hawking makeup and other products from Avon, Mary Kay and Arbonne and jewelry from Silpada in house parties is the hottest career Plan B these days.
“It’s the best thing I ever did,†said Mary Beth Nelson, 41, of Canton.
The stay-at-home mother of two decided to ease back in the work force after her husband lost his full-time job. While the family could pay the bills with her husband’s part-time work, the extras were about to be slashed from the budget.
“I thought about waitressing,†she said. “But then my friend introduced me to Silpada, and I thought, ‘I can do this.’ â€
