Veterans’ Focus On Franchising As Career Path Increasing

SmartBrief:

With the war in Iraq winding down and job-loss reports a prominent theme in the news, the path to traditional careers is daunting for former military personnel. That could be why so many veterans attended the International Franchise Expo’s “Franchising for Veterans” seminar recently. And it could be a sign that now is the best time to share the benefits of franchising with those who’re about to trade their “cammies” for “civvies.”

IFA’s VetFran program today includes more than 375 association-member companies that voluntarily offer financial incentives for honorably discharged veterans, but there’s plenty of room for more companies to join.

To view the participating companies and their discounts, visit “Franchises for Veterans.” [Important note to participating companies: Complete and return the quarterly survey form sent to your company recently. Results are important to IFA’s outreach to the news media, military community and Congress. If you have not received this survey form, please alert Administrative Assistant Jodi McCray at [email protected] immediately.
