Panera Bread Hosts 5K Run In Dayton

Bizjournals.com:

The Dayton-area Panera Bread franchisee is hosting the third annual Dayton Panerathon 5K run on April 25 and hopes to raise $15,000 to fight childhood hunger.

The 3.1-mile race begins at Centerville High School and the course runs through the streets of Centerville.

All proceeds benefit Children’s Hunger Alliance, a statewide nonprofit organization that works to end childhood hunger in Ohio.

Last year, 620 runners participated in the run, which raised $11,000. Organizers hope to have 800 runners and walkers at this year’s event, to raise at least $15,000 for the alliance.

Jim Hach, operating partner for Dayton area bakery-cafés, said he hopes to reach this year’s goal.
