In the recent recession going on, it’s not surprising that personal services have begun to taper off due to customers doing the tasks themselves more then they use to. These are companies that provide life services for those who don’t have the desire to do the task themself normally.

Personal businesses will be hit hard in this recession. But the long term trend towards outsourcing tasks will survive this recession as consumers continue to outsource tasks they don’t like or have time for, as stated in an article found on GenyLabs.

Some personal services include nannies, career coaches, house cleaning services, dog walkers, personal shoppers and fix-it services to name a few. There has even been a large increase in the number of butler services.

But even personal services is facing a challenge through this recession. While some tasks may be taken over by the customer themself, it is good news for these markets that there will still be some outsourcing for the task’s that customers still choose not to do.

What are your thoughts on some of these personal services?
