The stipulated order holds Zangara in civil contempt for violating a 2006 consent decree, the Unfair Practices Act and the Motor Dealers Franchising Act. The company must provide the attorney general’s office with access to the dealership’s files within five days.

It must also send a letter to consumers that they can share with credit reporting agencies, stating that any delinquencies related to the consumers’ payments are the fault of Zangara Dodge, other parties or events over which consumers had no control.

Zangara must also provide additional help to consumers who are required to provide more information by their credit reporting agencies.
