Lipstick Sales Will Bring Smiles & Dollars To Battered Women

SouthCoastToday.com:

Taking part in the worldwide Mary Kay Corporation’s “Beauty That Counts” initiative, Mary Kay consultant Paula Gardner said she will also be helping women closer to home.

In the United States, $1 will be donated from each sale of specially-desginated lipsticks to the Mary Kay Charitable Foundation and its efforts to end domestic violence.

To give back to the community and more directly benefit the women in the Greater New Bedford area, Gardner, a Fairhaven resident, said she will match the $1 donation with the purchase of each lipstick and donate the funds to the Women’s Fund at the Community Foundation of Southeastern Massachusetts.

The mission of the Women’s Fund is to fund programs that promote the educational and economic advancement of women and girls in Southeastern Massachusetts.
