Galileo, Inventor And Entrepreneur

WHYY.org:

This month 400 years ago the astronomer and inventor, Galileo, was presenting his new fangled device, the telescope, to the Venetian court.

He had to plead his case on the many ways the telescope could be used and because of the lack of knowledge in astronomy at the time he had a hard time convincing them it did what he said it did.

To further explore Galileo’s inventions visit the Franklin Institute before the end of their exhibit “Galileo, The Medici and the Age of Astronomy,” ending September 7th.
