Dickey’s Barbecue Pit Celebrates Its 68th Anniversary With $1 Big Barbecue Sandwiches

On Tuesday, October 20, 2009, Dickey’s Barbecue Pit restaurants across the country will offer Big Barbecue Sandwiches for only $1, from 11 AM – 2 PM.

“The $1 only sandwich sale marks Dickey’s Barbecue’s 68th Anniversary and is a small way to say thank you to our loyal customers,” said Dickey’s President Roland Dickey Jr.

In addition to the national promotion, the locations in Cary and Durham, North Carolina will offer the Big Barbecue Sandwiches for only $2 regularly priced at $4.99, from 2 PM – close.

The original Dickey’s Barbecue opened in Dallas in 1941, and is still owned and operated by the Dickey Family. Today, Dickey’s Barbecue has over 100 locations nationwide with more opening soon.
