More Dunkin’ Donuts Stores Coming To SE Valley

Arizona Republic:

East Valley residents can expect to see more Dunkin’ Donuts in 2010. The Massachusetts-based company, one of the nation’s top franchising companies, is ringing in the new year with more stores in the Southeast Valley.

First Cup, one of three franchisee groups in the state, opened its 13th store in Queen Creek this week and is planning to open seven stores in 2010, said Alex Apodaca of First Cup. In March, a second Mesa store will open at Alma School Road south of Baseline.

Why more stores?
Arizona is one of three states in the Western region where there are Dunkin’ Donut stores. Three franchisee groups operate 33 stores throughout the state. Apodaca said the East Coast company is looking at “Arizona as the gateway to the West.” He said sales in the Southeast Valley are up, providing ample reason to expand.
