Jackson Sun:
Its menu is larger, now including grilled salmon and tilapia and grilled shrimp skewers.
Its seating capacity has increased.
And it’s now in the heart of North Jackson’s growing retail district.
Captain D’s reopened at 10 a.m. Monday at 4 Stonebridge Blvd. in the building across from Chick-fil-A that once housed Corky’s Ribs and BBQ.
The restaurant is now owned by Captain D’s franchisee Joe Guido, 48, who started with the company as a general manager in 1998. Guido owns 22 Captain D’s, including those in Memphis and Union City.
“We are excited to be open,” he said Monday.
Guido did not own the Captain D’s restaurant formerly at 2034 N. Highland Ave. That restaurant was owned by franchisee XSB LLC, a company formerly called FKA Serve Holdings, according to records from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court Western District of Tennessee. That company filed for protection from creditors under Chapter 11 of the bankruptcy code on Dec. 19, 2007.
