Oriflame Taking On New Marketers In East Africa

Daily Nation:

Oriflame Cosmetics has announced plans to recruit 70,000 new direct sales consultants in East Africa this year, bringing its total sales force to 100,000.

Some 29,000 individuals joined East Africa’s fast growing beauty company during its first year of operation, and the company paid out Sh500 million in bonuses on top of the individual consultant’s profits.

Speaking when he launched a recruitment campaign for the company’s top sales consultants, Oriflame East Africa vice president and COO, Terje Widht, said Oriflame is living up to its mission this year by giving more people an opportunity to look great, make money and have fun through the company’s unique business opportunity.

“Our growth pattern in East Africa has truly surprised us and looks more promising than some of our other markets around the world,” said Mr Terje.

Other than East Africa, the Oriflame brand is established in 65 countries across the world, including several markets in North Africa such as Sudan and Egypt. Russia, Oriflame’s most successful market so far, has more than 500,000 sales consultants.
