Former Popeyes’ Crew Member Now Franchisee Of That Restaurant

One of Popeyes Louisiana Kitchens‘ top five franchisees, John Brodersen, has returned to his roots in Chicago as owner of the same Popeyes restaurant where he began his career more than two decades ago. Although many features of this and five other existing restaurants have been revamped and the fryers Brodersen learned on have been removed, one feature has been revitalized and restored-the Popeyes crew members’ jobs have been preserved and new procedures implemented to ensure smooth operations during the transition. The Chicago-area employees join the more than 1,000 employees of Brodersen Management.

Assisting in the opening operations of the six restaurant locations is Brodersen’s partner Tanathan Nelson, who also began as a Popeyes crew member in the Chicago area some 25 years ago.
