Like so many Americans, Carol Dunitz has felt deep sadness and concern for the people of Haiti. “We read in the news about an estimated body count at 150,000,” Dunitz says, “but the numbers don’t begin to tell the story.
This tragedy is not about numbers. It is about human beings: children who have lost parents, people who have lost relatives and friends, many who are suffering from a devastating lack of food, water, shelter, and medical assistance. I see stories of relief efforts on television and struggle to figure out how I can help”
Dunitz, who is a consultant for Arbonne International, made the decision to donate all the profits from her Arbonne business from January 28 through January 31. “I get a 35% commission when I sell Arbonne products. I am donating my entire commission for the last four days of January to the Clinton Bush Haiti Fund, which ensures 100% of the donation goes directly to the relief effort. This is a terrific opportunity to benefit a needy cause while getting products for family or to give as gifts. I hope this will encourage others to look for ways they can reach out and help the thousands of Haitians who need our assistance”
