Domino’s Pizza Profits Climb As Like For Like Sales And New Store Openings Drive Revenues

Domino’s Pizza, the owner, operator and franchiser of Domino’s Pizza restaurants in the United Kingdom and Ireland, reported yet another set of solid results this morning.

For the 52 week period ended 27 December 2009, the FTSE 250 constituent generated a 16% increase in sales to £406.9 million, thanks to like for like sales growth at its 501 mature stores of 8.4% combined with 55 new store openings.

Profit before tax increased by nearly 28% to £29.9 million, while diluted earnings per share rose 26% to 13.49 pence.

To total dividend for 2009 was increased by 31% to 7.75 pence.
