As we all know Twitter is a large network that is rapidly growing with every week that goes by. So why wouldn’t we contemplate using their network to recruit our star employees for our business? Imagine the endless possibilities with different types of employees that you will find on Twitter, the online world over hundreds of thousands of people!
When recruiting from Twitter make sure that you are truly engaging in the conversations on the boards and forums. Don’t just once a week or so send out a message that consists of two lines or so. It is important to talk as much as you can on the boards and always include information regarding your company such as its culture, background, future and more.
Follow associations that might be sources for candidates. For example, I just discovered FohBoh, an online community for the food and beverage industry. They have a Facebook Page, LinkedIn group and Twitter account. If you are searching for food and beverage talent, this could be a great place to connect. Posted recently on Open Forum.
